History: Pro Bass Adventures Mexico was founded in 1995 by Fred Ward. Fred was well connected in the fishing industry and had a strong portfolio of famous anglers that regularly visited Lake El Salto and Lake Baccarac including Johnny Morris, Little Jimmy Dickens, Porter Wagner, Bill Dance, Gary Yamamoto, Hank Parker and more. Fred Ward sold the company to Doug King in 2003. Doug was a veteran in Mexico bass fishing. With decades of experience fishing throughout the country and previously owning lodges in Mexico, he brought his expertise and grew the business greatly over the next 20 years. Trophy anglers, bait and lure companies, reel and rod companies all flock to fish with Pro Bass Adventures Mexico at Lake Baccarac and Lake El Salto. The foundation was built and the list of satisfied clients continued to grow.

In 2022 Doug King sold the business to our current owners Joshua Daniels and his fiancé Sarah Harris. Josh has many years of experience as a fishing guide in Arizona and is also co-owner of BigFishBullies guide service. Josh is an accomplished angler who has caught 23 IGFA world records across 8 different species and has guided another 33 world records. Sarah also has an impressive resume having recorded 22 world record catches across various species including our favorite: Largemouth Bass! This strong team has an expertise in what trophy anglers need to be successful. We have invested heavily in our lodges, boats and amenities making us the trophy anglers’ number one choice when fishing in Mexico.

Josh and his team installed 12” Garmin units and Livescope Plus on all our boats at Lake El Salto and Lake Baccarac as a part of all fishing packages. Pro Bass Adventures Mexico has the best equipped boats on Lake El Salto and Lake Baccarac. We have forged partnerships with many great companies in bass fishing. Our clients now enjoy a HUGE inventory of baitcaster and spinning rods including G.Loomis IMX-PRO and GLX, Dobyns Champion and St. Croix models. These are available for all clients to use free of charge.

Josh’s general manager is the legend of Lake Baccarac, Juan Villa, AKA “The Mayor” of Lake Baccarac. Juan and Josh work together and communicate daily to ensure our operations at each location run smoothly and our clients enjoy the best possible experience while fishing with us.
